About the chamber

From the President

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire membership, welcome to the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce’s official website. Your interest in Florida’s oldest historically black Chamber of Commerce is very important to us, please do not hesitate to let us know how we can improve as we strive to provide meaningful and pertinent content to ensure your business success.

Founded in 1974, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce prides itself as being the voice for the black business community in Miami-Dade County. From its inception it has been our charge to advocate while creating opportunities by providing resources and creating wealth for the black business community, minorities, and women.

As we continue to advocate and create opportunities for economic and social transformation in our community we ask that you stand with us. We ask that you become engaged by joining the Chamber and become an active committee member, through our various committees, which includes, Education, International Trade, Construction, Marketing and Public Relations, Women’s Business Council, Young Professional Network (YPN), Advocacy, and Technology.

The life blood of any Chamber is its membership. We truly appreciate your commitment as a member, and we welcome your feedback. It is important that you become connected, don’t just join and pay your membership, become engaged, attend the various networking events, and participate in the numerous workshops and events. You never know who you will meet, or where that next business deal will be brokered.

Currently Miami-Dade County and all of South Florida is experiencing an economic boom, it is our mandate to ensure that the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce’s membership is engaging and benefiting from the same. We are here to lead in that growth through creating the vehicles that will connect you to your next business opportunity.

This year we will be knocking on your door, you will receive a call from us asking if we can stop into your business and spend a little time getting to know you and your business. We have become a resource for micro loans through a program with Miami Dade County, to be eligible your business must be located in a designated TUA, or NRSA within Miami Dade County.

We are here to connect, engage and create opportunities that will foster economic growth for your business. Please do not hesitate to call me or any of our staff members to assist you, or answer any question or concerns that you may have.

We look forward to seeing you at the next Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce workshop, networking opportunity, or signature event.
